Full Job DescriptionNEW OPPORTUNITY WITH A GROWING PROGRESSIVE COMPANY
This position is responsible for assisting the general manager with the daily operations of the hotel to maintain standards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection.
Assist the general manager with a market analysis that includes competitors' rates by market segment for weekday and weekend and a forecast of local market conditions and special events that may impact occupancy and/or rate.
Assist with the training of the front desk staff to successfully perform all front office operations and revenue management and central reservations procedures.
Train front desk staff to successfully perform selling techniques and procedures for current promotions.
Ensure that quality services are rendered by department in meeting guest needs, and that good guest relations are enhanced.
Achieve budgeted food, beverage & room rental revenues and personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans.
Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable volume increases in food, beverage, room rental sales.
Follow up promptly on all sales leads regardless of the lead source. Monitor competing hotels for potential sources of group, transient, banquet & catering sales.
Submit monthly and weekly sales results and schedules on a timely basis.
Maintain all accounts with accurate histories, contact/planner information, and all relevant information regarding booking activity; up to and including, active traces to follow up on a regular basis.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to produce food, beverage, and room rental sales.
Create and develop special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend trade shows and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel. Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
Perform special projects and other tasks as assigned. Participate in task force and committees as required. At all times project a favorable image of the Hotel to the public.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
