www.lumentum.com .Lumentum is currently seeking a technical Engineering Project Manager for our Imaging and Sensing Business Unit (ISBU). The Engineering Project Manager is an individual contributor position that works with a multi-disciplinary, multi-functional team dealing with various aspects of high-volume manufacturing of optical components.Key Responsibilities:

Work with a multi-disciplinary cross-functional team dealing with high-volume manufacturing (10-100+ M units/yr) of low-cost optical components to be transferred to contract manufacturers.Interface with Wafer Foundries and Contract Manufacturers (CM) (particularly in Asia).Develop and manage project schedules with engineering teams and communicate project status to stakeholders, upper management, and customers.Work closely with project team members on conceptual design, vendor and equipment interactions, package prototyping, testing, and performance characterization.Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.Must Have Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience managing technically complex projects and proven hands-on product development and project management skills.Degree in optical, electrical, physical engineering, or equivalent.Familiar with photonics, semiconductor laser diodes, VCSELs, LEDs, or ICs.Strong decision-making ability to troubleshoot problems and bring resolution.Knowledge of product life cycle, processes (e.g., APQP/PPAP), and tools for project planning.Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong team player, self-starter, and detail-oriented.Experience in conceptual design, vendor interaction, package prototyping, testing, and performance characterization.Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Wafer Foundry and Contract Manufacturer (CM) front-/back-end assembly/equipment capabilities (particularly in Asia).Experience with high-volume, low-cost laser diode packaging and product qualification for consumer and automotive applications is desirable.Familiar with six-sigma techniques (e.g., design for manufacturability/reliability (DFx), SPC, IATF16949/ISO9001 certification).
