Chief Data Scientist for PGIM , you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing PGIM’s data-driven strategy. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer and the PGIM Chief Information & Technology Officer, you will join a fast-paced environment that is leading business and cultural transformation.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions, shaping the future of PGIM’s data landscape.You will lead teams of data scientists, who will work diligently on problems that will enable the business to deploy solutions and elevate outcomes.As an expert in data science and analytics, you will bring excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, and an inclusive leadership attitude to all that you do.What you can expect:Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytical solutions to complex business problems that generate measurable outcomes within PGIM.Develop and grow relationships with senior executives in the business lines, including PGIM businesses as key stakeholders.As a thought leader and evangelist, drive knowledge and application of machine learning and data science at all levels of PGIM.Develop pragmatic approaches to solving complex business problems through data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.Leverage strong oral and written communication skills to drive business transformation and data science adoption.Advise on implementation of advanced data analytics models with effective and practical short- and long-term actionable solutions within the businesses.Build the data and technical environment at PGIM by bringing new technologies and techniques to create efficient processes around data extraction, aggregation, and analytics.Contribute to the transformation of the culture at Prudential from a product-centric to a customer-centric orientation.Initiate and manage strategic external partnerships to supplement internal advanced data analytics capabilities.Attract and nurture talent to maintain competitive advantage in fast-changing data science ecosystem.What you will bring:Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.Experience in applying modeling/data science principles in asset management / capital markets with knowledge across multiple financial products.Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing data science teams.Prior experience with building custom statistical models, analyzing unstructured data, and/or machine learning for asset management and capital markets is highly desirable.Superior communication and persuasion skills; talent for storytelling, visualizing and creating insights from data to deliver practical recommendations for business action.Consultative nature, with a proven track record of using data to drive quantifiable business outcomes.Proven relationship building and collaboration skills; ability to influence and drive outcomes in large, matrixed and complex organizations.Strong quantitative skills with deep knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and computer science at the foundation of data science.Experience managing teams of data scientists and analytical professionals.Accustomed to managing multiple teams on different projects.Entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, and resilience; comfort with and ability to thrive on and drive change while navigating ambiguity.Experience with asset management data analytics, metrics, and outcomes measurement.PGIM welcomes all applicants, even if you don't meet every requirement.
