Job Overview
This role plays a key role in driving the success of Bedrosians Natural Stone Tile product lines. Responsible for the development and execution of product strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and launches for Natural Stone Tile product lines. The Product Manager will do market research, product planning, and customer engagement activities to ensure the products meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Duties
Sourcing and Procurement:
Develop stone factory contacts for company to review and vet.
Research stone suppliers and comparing costs.
Negotiate purchase agreements.
Develop inventory controls to identify demand for new materials.
Supplier Relations:
Maintain relationships with vendors.
Resolve grievances with vendors in a fair & timely manner.
Product Management:
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics related to Natural Stone Tile product line(s).
Analyze market and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Develop and execute strategies, lifecycles, and go-to-market plans for Natural Stone Tile product line(s).
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
Select and propose natural stone tile materials.
Support the creation of pricing, positioning, and messaging strategies for the products.
Logistics and Inventory:
Order and purchase approved materials.
Manage inventory levels efficiently (including Value Centers, Dropped, and Pre-Dropped).
Ensure timely delivery of materials.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
Inspect production equipment & materials produced to ensure operational efficiency and high standards of quality stone tile materials are being supplied.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Budgeting and Cost Analysis:
Estimate, negotiate, and manage budgets.
Analyze cost of goods and determine product pricing strategy.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Regional Sales team & marketing, to drive product development.
Coordinate and manage product launches and release plans.
Liaise with other departments (such as marketing, sales, and production).
Support sales and marketing teams in developing product marketing strategies and materials.
Work with managers to implement company policies and goals.
Negotiate solutions and credits for job problems and defective product arrivals.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in a related field or commensurate work experience with a multi-state consumer products company with 750 to 1,000 employees.
Strong product management skills, including strategy development, roadmap creation, and lifecycle management.
Proficient in market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
Customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of user needs and preferences.
Technical acumen to collaborate with design and fabrication teams, able to translate technical concepts into product features.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Business acumen with an understanding of financials, KPIs, and the ability to contribute to business growth.
Attention to detail to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
