Freshpaint is a Customer Data Platform that powers the entire customer data pipeline and integrates all your tools. We make it easy for technical teams like engineering, data, and product to collect customer data, and for business teams like product, marketing, sales, and support to access it in their day-to-day roles.
We’re based in San Francisco, and remote-heavy (we gather the team 2-4 times per year for offsites). We’re backed by leading investors including Y Combinator, Data Community Fund, and more.
Who we are:Freshpaint was founded by early employees from Heap who noticed that the problem of collecting customer data was still not solved. Our team has deep analytics and growth experience, coming from high-growth companies like Heap, Mixpanel, and Gorgias.

This role will give you the opportunity to:
Work at a scale of data few companies work at - Freshpaint processes billions of data points each month.
Get hands-on with many aspects of running a startup - you'll get exposure to customers, sales, product, growth, and more.
Delight customers by shipping features that provide immediate benefits to our customer base.
What you'll be doing:
Work on scaling our core infrastructure to process significantly more data.
Design and architect new pieces of our data processing infrastructure.
Build new user experiences, working on additional functionality in our app, both on the frontend and backend.

You have at least 3 years of experience in a software engineering role.
You learn fast and can get up to speed quickly on new tools and technologies.
You take ownership and solve problems efficiently.
You can understand and reason about complex systems.
You have high empathy and a keen sense of understanding how other people think.
[Bonus] You’re familiar with our tech stack - Golang, Typescript, AWS, Postgres.
[Bonus] You’re familiar with the analytics/customer data/big data space.
