You might just be the right candidate for us.We are looking for a hardworking Senior Software Engineer II for our Customer Support Product team. This team builds a variety of tools and services for our multiple customer support roles (including back-office and field support) to provide any assistance that our riders may seek. These tools anticipate and solve challenges in ways that humanize our technology, enhance the safety of our services, and deepen our relationships with users, even in the most unpredictable moments.What You’ll Do

Design and develop full stack features across our front-end surfaces and back-end services.Identify and implement improvements to testing and automation.Measure and improve performance in all layers of the stack.Extend and improve distributed and fault tolerant services.Drive standard methodologies for backend deployment, monitoring, and traceability.Drive strong engineering practices and a high bar of quality for our product offerings.Work with teams across Cruise to foster a collaborative culture embodying our values.What You Must Have

Experience building modern front-ends using React, Webpack, Babel, or similar tools.Experienced with Golang, Python, Java or C++.Experience with relational databases, microservice-based architectures, and common cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure.Track record of driving complex Software projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finally publication or productization.Experience with REST APIs, GRPC and websockets.Passionate about self-driving technology and its impact.Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent real-world experience.Bonus points!

Experience with CRM solutions like Salesforce Service Cloud or similar.Experience in the autonomous vehicle or ride share industry.The salary range for this position is $139,000 - $204,300. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
