The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about litigation and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of active litigation files from inception through trial or resolution. This includes managing discovery, conducting depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and participating in trial or arbitration.ResponsibilitiesManage all stages of litigation including pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, and post-trial motions.Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and advise clients on legal rights.Take and defend depositions of parties and experts.Participate in settlement negotiations.Develop case strategies based on the facts of the case and the client's goals.Maintain communication with clients and provide regular updates on case progress.Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure efficient and effective case management.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation.Proven experience in taking depositions and managing the discovery process.Exceptional legal research and writing skills.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.High level of professionalism and outstanding client service skills.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Litigation Associate Attorney to take their career to the next level.
