We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a broad range of civil defense litigation matters and will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients. This role will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your legal research and writing skills, as well as your ability to conduct depositions and first chair trial experience.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
Handle a wide range of civil defense litigation cases, providing legal advice and representation to our clients in a variety of disputes.Conduct thorough and detailed legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.Conduct and defend depositions, effectively questioning witnesses to gather essential case information.Lead trial teams, serving as the first chair in court proceedings, effectively presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and advocating for our clients.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction by providing clear, accurate, and timely communication.Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to case management, sharing knowledge and expertise as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for the role of Permanent Litigation Attorney, candidates must possess the following:
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the TX state bar and in good standing.A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil defense litigation/insurance defense litigation.Proven experience serving as the first chair in trial proceedings.Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and present clear, concise, and persuasive arguments.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.Demonstrated ability to manage a significant caseload, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
