SummaryThe OpportunityHyatt seeks a Global Sales Manager to join our Hyatt Sales Force – Luxury, Lifestyle, and Leisure team where you’ll join a team of 21 sales professionals who are passionate about what they do. The Global Sales Manager will manage global luxury and lifestyle travel agency accounts and develop new business opportunities to drive market share growth and premium business to Hyatt’s portfolio of hotels. This Manager will support and work in tandem with the LLL team, and internal and external stakeholders to support, create and implement strategic account plans that deliver on the organization’s sales strategy, short-term and long-term strategic objectives as well as tactics/initiatives for our Global Luxury, Lifestyle and Leisure Accounts.

In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Hyatt Sales Force and individual hotel teams where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The RoleHyatt Hotels is looking for a Global Sales Manager who will join a team of global sales professionals who are passionate about what they do. As a Global Sales Manager, you will develop and manage a portfolio of qualified Accounts within the luxury and lifestyle segment, primarily with travel agencies and niche lifestyle concierge organizations. The Global Sales Manager will work in tandem with the LLL team, and internal and external stakeholders to create and implement strategic account plans that deliver on the organization’s sales strategy, short-term, and long-term strategic objectives with a key focus on new business development and shifting share as well as driving premium business and new customers to our portfolio of brands. Core expectations:Manage both group and transient travel for your accounts and support Global Sales Director accounts as needed while developing and nurturing long-term strategic global relationships with a focus on shifting market share and driving premium business and new customers to our portfolio of brands.Create, maintain, and record strategic account/action plans for each account that will include quota targets, customer engagement, key tactics to grow account revenue globally, annual & quarterly account reviews, promotions, and B2B marketing opportunities.Support worldwide hotel sales needs based on agreed priorities and anticipated business levels.Work closely with Hyatt Sales Force (HSF) colleagues to retain and expand the HSF’s Key accounts.Pre-qualify and target Key Accounts in assigned segments, utilizing analytics tools and prospecting strategies to develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase market share.Be the “one-stop shop” problem solver for all assigned HSF accounts.Entertain potential and current customers based on business priorities, including the ability to travel and work off-peak hours.Ensure a high level of exposure through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, and written communications.Ensure that Sales Contracts follow established Policies and Procedures and are based on sound commercial judgment.Maintain an awareness of market developments and customer trends and support hotels with market knowledge.Assist hotel representatives with customer engagement including but not limited to scheduling appointments, targeted customer events, sales calls, and webinars.Ability to manage a strategic budget along with timely submission of expense reports.Manage event budgets, and communication and curate branded experiences for small groups and large events that are customer-facing.Attend industry events representing Hyatt through the organization’s principles and purpose and acting as a brand ambassador for our portfolio.Assist new Hotels to identify and acquire potential Accounts.Help to organize and coordinate strategic familiarization trips.Conduct Product Presentations to increase awareness with Key and Business Development Accounts.Prepare Monthly Activities Reports and Production Reports when needed.Strong follow-up, organizational, and leadership skills.Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environment.Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with presenting both virtually and in person to every level within the organization, and externally to clients.Takes initiative, is a team player, personable, discreet, and reliable.QualificationsExperience Required:A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the luxury and lifestyle segment and the travel agency market.A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.Comprehensive knowledge of hotels and sales practices.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.A strong customer focus and relationship-building and customer service skills.A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.A passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, curiosity, and new skills, and building connections across the organization with stakeholders, colleagues, and guests.Experience Preferred:Bachelor’s degreeComprehensive knowledge of Hotels and Sales PracticesMS Office, Lanyon, Reserve, Opera, Oracle, and Envision.Sales and/or operations roles in all-inclusive, Luxury, full-service, and select-service properties.The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing.
