Join our Crypto team to help integrate Kraken’s systems with an ever-expanding universe of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. This team is responsible for developing & supporting crypto operations including deposits, withdrawals & staking.As a member of this team, your focus is on protecting client funds. You will be responsible for building systems that communicate with various blockchains to enable the timely processing of client transactions, while also ensuring the safety and security of all funds on the exchange.The opportunity
Integrate our existing systems with exciting new blockchainsDesign and implement low-latency, high-availability, super secure applications and data protection systemsWrite highly scalable, high volume servicesWrite reusable, testable, and efficient codeDesign and optimize database schemasOwn, develop and maintain existing crypto servicesSkills You Should HODL
Deep knowledge in one or more blockchain ecosystems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, Solana, Substrate is a huge plusAt least 3 years of backend development experienceExperience with development in at least one blockchain ecosystemStrong understanding of cryptographic conceptsStrong proficiency with Typescript (Node.js) and/or RustProficiency in Docker and/or KubernetesComfortable with GNU/Linux operating systemsKnowledge of accessibility and security compliance standardsExpertise in user authentication and authorization across systemsGrasp of design principles for scalable applicationsFamiliarity with automated testing and unit testsProficiency with code versioning tools, such as GitBe passionate about secure, reliable, fast and privacy-focused softwareStrong passion for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrenciesPragmatic and solution-oriented, stoic in the face of many obstaclesProactively adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and apply innovative solutions to dynamic challenges, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced development environmentDemonstrates a receptive mindset, adept at engaging in constructive dialogue on complex subjects with colleagues, while remaining adaptable and open to alternative perspectivesKraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
