ECORP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a full-time senior architectural historian to join our California cultural team. Responsibilities will include conducting and overseeing inventory and evaluation reports for architectural history, client care and management, and serving as principal investigator for architectural history projects and tasks. Further, the position will include business development including responding to competitive and sole source opportunities, coordinating and managing fieldwork for staff, conducting and supervising archival and historical research, preparing architectural history impacts/adverse effects assessments and developing mitigation measures for architectural history, preparing NHPA and CEQA technical reports, California DPR 523 records and Historic American Building Survey (HABS) / Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) / Historic American Landscape Surveys (HALS), and other duties as assigned. The Senior Architectural Historian will work directly with a multidisciplinary team of archaeologists and architectural historians, and will also work closely with NEPA/CEQA practitioners, biologists, paleontologists, GIS specialists, and other professionals.Additional responsibilities in this position will include:

Serving as project manager assisting clients on mid to large size projects (including being responsible for technical report quality, client care, agency coordination, budgeting, billing, scheduling, invoicing);Demonstrating confidence in decision-making and being recognized by clients and peers as having expertise in architectural history;Identifying and developing new opportunities, preparing effective proposals, and actively developing new business with new and existing clients;Training and mentoring staff on Section 106 and CEQA requirements for architectural history;Preparing and managing a variety of complex architectural history evaluations, impacts assessment or finding of effects, and developing effective mitigation measures or other tasks for a wide variety of local and regional projects.Minimum requirements include a Master of Arts (completed M.A. degree) in History, Public History, Architecture, Architectural History, or other closely related field. Prefer 8-15 years of experience. The position will be based in one of our CA offices. Regional travel is required though infrequent.Our base full-time annual salary range is $60,000-$130,000. Starting salary is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications/permits, geographic location, internal equity and market conditions.
