Airline Sales Director

for the Americas in our Airlines & Fleets (A&F) business, you'll be responsible for leading our sales efforts with some of the largest airlines in the world on behalf of a $3Bn business unit. You'll lead the sales strategy development and execution for CFM56 and LEAP maintenance repair & overhaul (MRO) sales opportunities in the Americas, with a focus on the growing Latin American market. The Airlines Sales Director serves as the face of StandardAero and interfaces with airline customers at all levels to represent the interests of the business with our customers, and to represent the interests of our customers within the business. With opportunities often exceeding $500M in revenue you will have frequent interaction with our leadership team and will convene cross-functional bid teams to provide tailored and creative solutions for our customers.

What you'll do as the Airline Sales Director for the Americas:

Working with the VP Sales for the Americas, the SVP Sales, Marketing & Customers and the Business Unit VP/GMs you will develop the campaign strategies that will differentiate us in the marketplace and enable us to win strategic campaigns with customers in the Americas.You will serve as the face of StandardAero with some of the highest profile global airlines, cargo operators and lessors, representing our company and contributing towards the StandardAero brand promise as "the trusted service partner".The successful candidate will be assigned specific customers and will be responsible for forecasting and meeting sales volumes. Other responsibilities will include developing account strategies, leading sales campaigns, negotiating deal terms, supporting customer events, conferences and tradeshows and other duties required to deliver the needs of the business and deliver a superior customer experience.You will leverage consultative selling and active listening techniques to understand customer requirements and campaign value drivers. You must be able to negotiate $500M+ complex commercial transactions in line with internal governance process and approvals. You must intuitively understand customer politics and competing interests and be able to anticipate how proposals will be received by customers. You are able to lead a negotiation team effectively and ensure inclusivity in strategy and bid development.What Skills You Need To Be Successful

You are a strategic thinker who can approach a sales campaign from multiple angles, identifying innovative ways to increase probability of success and position StandardAero favorably.Effectively influences and leads teams of peers and indirect reports. Inspires others and helps get the best out of members of any campaign team. Navigates conflict and diffuses tense situations.Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and customer service skills.Thorough product knowledge of turbofan market segment.Working knowledge of salesforce.com or similar Customer Relationship Management system.Minimum 7 years customer facing experience required including direct aerospace sales experience.Up to 50% travel required (international & domestic).Preferred Characteristics
