We enhance our extensive property database, personalize our customers’ experience on our product websites, and create innovative datasets and forecasts that are the industry standards in our market leading products.We are searching for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our collaborative group that includes a mix of big data, API, and full stack development teams. We are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate, with Data Science playing a critical role in that growth.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, build, test, and deploy scalable machine learning and statistical models to analyze large volumes of data.Perform extensive statistical analysis and translate results into actionable business insights for decision makers.Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and leadership to answer business questions using big data.Automate data processing and manage data pipelines to ensure efficient data handling.Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and gain a deep understanding of the CoStar business to identify improvement opportunities.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMaster’s Degree from an accredited, non-profit university or college, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A PhD is highly desirable.2+ years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist or in a related role for candidates with a PhD, or 5+ years of experience for candidates with a Master’s degree.Extensive programming experience with Python and proficiency in machine learning and data science libraries such as scikit-learn, statsmodels, pandas and matplotlib.Strong mathematical and analytical skills.Exceptional ability to translate data analysis results into actionable business insights.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with data platforms and analytics technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks.Experience working in cross-functional teams.Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and data pipeline tasks.What’s in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
