Job DescriptionSenior Financial AnalystPosition SummaryCompile and analyze financial data, and prepare reports, both statistical and financial, from multiple ledgers. Conduct analysis of activities at the macro and micro levels for use by managers and senior leadership. Responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting patient scheduling and provider productivity daily. Assist in preparation and generation of financial reports and audits. The Senior Financial Analyst provides a full range of finance support for all operational and administrative management partners, and acts as a liaison between business functions and finance/accounting leadership.Essential Functions Of The JobResponsible for accurately forecasting and reporting results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis;Lead the financial reporting process for all external Federal Qualified Health Center & PACE statutory and performance reporting requirements;Prepare annual operating and capital budgets for all business functions, including planning for strategic objectives, headcount, initiatives, expenses and productivity;Provide comprehensive variance analysis, including identification of gaps, trends and opportunities within the company and recommendations for possible course corrections necessary to functional and finance management;Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations monthly; enter adjusting journal entries as directed and provide adjustment recommendations to supervisor for maintenance of clean and accurate account balances;Assist in oversight of budgeting software and financial reporting software applications, including development of report templates, teaching/advising leaders on the use of such applications and ensuring accuracy of report data;Serve in a lead capacity during the formulation, development and implementation of departmental, grant and other program budgets;Plan, facilitate and implement ad hoc analyses to support decision-making, evaluate business initiatives, evaluate performance, etc.;Analyze, prepare and present complex analyses related to key rate development projects, managed care utilization and other revenue-related issues;Analyze vendor proposals utilizing actual cost data and provide recommendations on open bid response submissions;Assist in position control management by tracking all budgeted and unbudgeted staff approvals;Review and analyze monthly labor allocation reports for accuracy and initiate allocation change requests and re-class journal entries to correct erroneous data;Track, report, analyze and provide value-added feedback of daily SYH productivity, patient scheduling, appointment availability and float provider assignment;Prepare month-end site and department financial statements and clinic performance report templates;Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks.Additional Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists in maintaining and developing departmental policies and procedures in matters affecting cost, accounting, budgeting, and reporting policies.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in current educational programs, service meetings and workshops.Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Job RequirementsEducation Required (Min. level of education):

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience.Certifications/Licenses Required:

None.Experience Required (Min. level of experience):

3 years in healthcare, finance, or non-profit.Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:

Good oral and written communication.Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:

Knowledge of financial reporting, cost analysis, and accounting practices. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing programs. Ability to successfully implement policies and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.Equipment Used (Computers, phones, vehicles, etc.):

Personal computer and 10-key.Working Conditions & Physical Req. (Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting):

Lifting of no more than 15 lbs. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.
