MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE!!!The Financial Analyst will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and reconciliations. This role will handle accounting and reporting for all areas related to inventory and costing and pricing of commercial products along with development and pipeline projects. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, show initiative, possess excellent communication and detail orientation skills, and have strong analytical abilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.Communicate information effectively and translate financial data into meaningful information that supports business decision-making.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare month-end adjusting and closing entries to accounts along with reconciliations and year-to-date roll-forwards of activity.Process corporate purchase orders and analyze vendor contracts and open purchasing activity.Maintain accurate costing methodology in an ERP and manual system.Maintain standard cost system to ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and lead annual manufacturing cost standard updates and analyze variances to standard costs.Work with other departments to review open purchase orders for accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end accruals.General ledger reconciliation responsibility for all inventory and cost of goods sold accounts.Interact with external auditors to ensure audit activities are executed in a timely manner.Identify areas for process improvements, efficiencies, and establish SOPs.Participate in the annual budgeting process, including preparation of standard costs.Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.Manage the Purchasing function after an initial three to six month period, which includes a Buyer.Assist with special projects and research projects as assigned by the management team.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
