Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years experience

Android OS and application testing experience

Ability to develop automated tests in Python

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines to automate test deployment

Familiarity with source control solutions such as Git

Comfortable working cross-functionally across multiple projects

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Humility, curiosity, and a passion for sharing knowledge

Experience automating tests on Android-based hardware devices

Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specializing in the quality automation team at Flock, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our Android-based hardware devices.

Work closely with our development and QA teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites that run on Android hardware devices.

Your work will be instrumental in delivering high-quality software to our customers.

Collaborate with the development teams to ensure automation testing is a proper quality gate for our products.

Highlight automation requirements early in the development cycle.

Execute automated test plans on a scheduled release cycle.

Report results to upper management.

Develop automated tests to assess Android hardware, OS, and application functionality, stability, and performance.

Conduct root cause analysis of any product defects found and report them using our defect management solution, Jira.

Invent new ways of testing our product in a fast-paced environment.

Mentor junior members of the team.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary of $95,000-$130,000 plus stock options.
