Position SummaryAn exciting opportunity to work on GenAI to solve complex retail problems/challenges. Utilize deep learning methods and architectures to fine-tune NLP models to make them intelligent.What you'll doWork in a team of Data Scientists, collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, business, and engineering to address cutting-edge retail problems with AI.Build NLP and/or recommendation systems.Develop data science models for retail & e-commerce.Deploy trained ML models into the cloud for business/customers.Lead model development and guide team members through building, testing, and deploying ML models at scale.About The TeamOur team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What You'll BringProven experience in Data Science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.Proven experience in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, using open-source frameworks (for example, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).Excellent understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, as well as coding proficiency using related open-source libraries and frameworks.Significant proficiency in SQL and languages like Python, PySpark, and/or Scala.Knowledge of deployment and scaling best practices.Effective technical communication to non-technical stakeholders.Experience in leading and mentoring junior associates.About Walmart Global TechImagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
