Partnering with the renowned Salesforce AI Research organization and marquee development customers, this leader will be responsible for identifying market opportunities connected to AI research, rapidly prototyping, learning, and achieving product-market fit on frontier and emerging capabilities.The ideal candidate will have three qualities and attributes: AI/machine learning depth and product experience, entrepreneurial experience taking products from “0 to 1”, and strong customer-facing collaboration skills. Experience with Salesforce Platform is a plus. They have excellent command of the future of AI, and a deep understanding of the rapid changes in the technology, market, and evolving capabilities. They are capable of operating in a rapid experimentation mode with our most sophisticated customers, building prototypes quickly, proving value, and then partnering with our Core Technology & Product teams to scale broadly.As the VP of Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Salesforce AI product portfolio and driving growth and adoption strategy. You will lead a talented team of product managers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers and drive sustainable business growth.Responsibilities:Partner with Salesforce AI Research to create, develop, and ship cutting-edge generative AI prototypes with development customers.Represent Salesforce AI to both internal and external stakeholders, including executives, employees, customers, and industry forums.Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to drive product development and go-to-market strategies.Help evaluate the latest and greatest start-ups in the AI ecosystem to build possible partnerships + engagements.Engage with select customers to prototype, learn, and achieve product-market fit as rapidly as possible.Build a scalable approach to strategic experimentation, with a rapid innovation cycle, followed by a structured hand-off to scaled R&D teams.Lead a team of product managers to drive Frontier prototypes and product.Desired Experience:10+ years experience in Product Management (5+ years PM people management experience).Deep technical, product, and research understanding of Generative AI, machine learning, and search.Proven record of partnering with highly advanced, Enterprise-scale customers with complex internal technology teams and structures.Must be an exceptional communicator and comfortable presenting to both business and technical executives.Strong people management capabilities and interpersonal skills.Has shown an ability to grow, develop, and retain top technical and product management talent.Proven ability to learn and execute at a startup pace.Salesforce technology experience a plus.Compensation Information:For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $246,900 to $432,700.
For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $270,400 to $472,900.
