Full-time and part-time positions available. ***$1,000.00 sign on bonus for full-time***

Pay starts at $17/hr and increases after 90 days to $17.57/hr. Full-time is a 42 hour work week and includes overtime at time and a half.

Ensure daily customer happinessProvides safe, efficient, and comfortable transport of patientsEffective communicatorFollows all applicable federal, state, and local laws, statues, and regulationsDrives in a safe manner, following Life EMS safe driving standards and techniquesMaintains a clean, well-organized vehicleCompletes invoices and other paperwork completely and accuratelyIs proficient in using maps and has a thorough working knowledge of the areaPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of city streets and traffic regulations.Responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with fellow associates, hospital and nursing home personnel, as well as the general public.Must be at least 18 years of ageMust maintain a valid State of Michigan Chauffeur license and a good driving recordMust have a high school diploma or G.E.D.Must be interviewed by a Life EMS designeeMust pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements as outlined on the Conditional Offer of EmploymentMust meet all local licensing requirementsMust possess or obtain a current BLS CPR cardCOVID-19 Vaccination highly encouragedPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance visions, color visions, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The associates must also do the following:

Drive using wrist motions to manipulate steering wheel frequently and rotating neckLift and carry wheelchairs weighing 45 poundsPush, pull wheelchairs and lift during stair ascend/descend with 130 pound patientPull van's wheelchair elevation platformLift and transfer 130 pound patient from chair to wheelchair, buckle and unbuckle wheelchair to floor platformAbility to wear an N95 mask or similar if needed. Facial hair, except for a mustache to the corners of the mouth, is prohibited.
