Job Title: Senior Insurance Specialist
Reports To: Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Business Management - Insurance
Your Role: The Senior Insurance Specialist will manage and advise on various insurance plans, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and provide expert knowledge to clients on risk management and policy selection. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex insurance concepts clearly. You will handle day-to-day insurance needs for clients, train department staff, and support the Insurance Department Manager by performing various duties.
What Will You Do:
Review insurance-related bills for discrepancies and investigate to have them corrected or properly explainedSet up suspense/reminders to ensure bills are paid on timeComplete and/or review annual insurance auditsEnsure copies of all client auto ID cards and health/dental ID cards are currentCorrespond/communicate with insurance brokers or insurance companies for any discrepanciesRequest policy changesHandle day-to-day tasks of assigned clients, and assist department manager as assignedMaintain updated manifests for equipment, jewelry, and fine artsProvide premium breakdowns for all coverage linesObtain or create summaries of insurance for meeting packagesSubmit for and obtain quotes as neededMake recommendations to improve existing coverage and point out any coverage deficienciesHandle renewalsResearch alternate options in coverage if there are large increasesHandle insurance claims process, including filing claims and filling out required forms/reportsReview and approve timecards in ADPWhat Do you Need to Succeed:
Understanding of insurance language and principalsExperience with TAM or Epic insurance softwareExcellent organization skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills a mustAttention to detail and ability to multi-task is an assetFriendly and professional demeanorAbility to work well with a team and pitch in when neededEducation and Experience Requirements:
A High school diploma, or GEDInsurance license preferredMathematical acumenPrior Insurance Experience required,Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Standing, walking, crouching, and regular lifting up to 15 poundsFrequent use of hands and reaching with hands and armsRegularly talking, hearing, seeing, and sittingModerate to loud noise levelRisk of electrical shockSalary Range: The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
