BASIC POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the business intelligence solutions across TEC and its subsidiaries. This position will utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. The IT Data Analyst will analyze data and present it in a way that will assist with better decision making.

It may be necessary to follow other instructions or perform other related duties required by the company.Analyzes and write queries to extract and load data for reports and projectsDesigns, develops, delivers, and maintains meaningful and sustainable reportsExamines data quality, applications, and functionsResearch new data sources and analytical toolsRemoves corrupted data and fixes coding errors and related problemsDevelops and maintains data bases and data systems - reorganizing data in a readable formatPerforms analysis to assess quality and meaning of dataUses statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and predictionWorks with programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategiesCreate or manage dashboardsOTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist the Director of Information Technology or other IT team members with projectsOther duties as needed

Requirements

Education/Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a computer science related discipline or a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience is required. Requires experience using SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting. Must understand and be able to work with data in relational and non-relational databases. Knowledge of scripting languages such as C#, Python, or other related languages.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position; Experience with data analytics and visualization tools; Experience developing, designing, and supporting applications and relational databases; Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
