Description

We are seeking an experienced and results oriented Sales Manager to join our newly created National Accounts and digital sales team, focusing on driving sales growth through Ingram, Baker & Taylor and Raincoast. This role will involve developing strategic sales plans, managing key accounts, and collaborating with internal teams to maximize revenue. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of these distribution channels and demonstrate a proven ability to maximize sales performance. The role is primarily responsible for Adult and Children's Trade titles with some Academic oversight.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison for Ingram, Baker & Taylor and Raincoast, managing day-to-day relationships and communicationsDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets with Ingram, Baker & Taylor and RaincoastMonitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to optimize sales and profitabilityCollaborate with marketing and editorial teams to create compelling promotional campaignsConduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences within wholesaler channelsWork with the operations team to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of inventory through Ingram, Baker & Taylor and RaincoastMonitor and manage listings, ensuring accurate product information and availabilityPrepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and growth opportunitiesUtilize analytics tools to track sales trends, campaign performance, and customer behaviors within these distribution channelsVisit accounts twice yearlyRequirements

Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 5 years of sales experience ideally with direct experience of sales to wholesalersProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Location

Candidates must reside in the NY tri-state area, and be able to work in person 2 days per week.

Salary Description

$70,000 - $90,000
