Position Summary:COREONYX is looking for a Drupal Technical Lead with Acquia certification to be part of our dynamic team in supporting Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) for federal clients. The Drupal Technical Lead will deliver innovative solutions for improving the effectiveness, reach, and content of the website. The Drupal Technical Lead will work collaboratively with team members and various stakeholders to architect and develop top notch websites for our clients The team will create, migrate, implement, sustain, expand, and improve static and dynamic content to a Drupal based site, including integration with other internal and external sources. The Drupal Technical Lead will work collaboratively with the team to best realize system requirements in the Drupal platform by identifying what is best provided by Drupal and its modules, what should be customized and to implement and integrate these solutions to create a compelling experience for users.The successful candidate will (1) be passionate for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to solving problems by staying up to date with best practices, (2) drive continuous improvement through extensive understanding of the client’s business processes and data, (3) have combination of back end programming skills and services with front end knowledge, (4) enjoy rolling up sleeves and working to create and implement solutions, achieve objectives, eliminate risks, and increase user and/or customer experience, (5) assess the impact of new requirements on the CMS and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes, and (6) have a strong understanding of industry trends and using agile methodologies for development and deployment processes that can be used in Drupal-based systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead development work for all Drupal activities to include management of a team of developers in building, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS)Establish and guide the website’s architecture, creating code, conducting code reviews, identifying issues, and implementing best practices that ensure secure and quality deliverablesIntegrate code into automated systems that check for quality and allow for a secure deploymentPerform full stack development for templates, components, and custom modulesEstablish and guide DevOps solutions including Git workflow guidelines, local dev environment setup, and Continuous Integration using Gitlab, Acquia Pipelines or similar.Analyze, architect and update Acquia Drupal configurationsDrupal refactoring and optimizationSupport sprint planning strategyManage non-production environments for validation and testingCDN and cloud-host performance and optimization strategyDeploy releases or support deployments (updates, new sections, etc.) to productionAssess Drupal software and security updates to effect high quality, performance, security and availabilityDocument back-end development processes and provides regular updatesHandle configuration management and provide insight into browser cookie configurations and processesProvide SEO solutions including Google Analytics and Search functionalitySupport root cause analysis to identify causes of issuesProvide technical expertise and recommendations on options for managing and purging the CDN cache

Qualifications:

US CitizenAbility to obtain a Public Trust.Bachelor's degree in technical discipline, or a related field (7-10 years of relevant work experience may also be used in lieu of a college degree)Experience with Drupal versions 8, 9, or 10Proven experience as a Drupal developer or Tech Lead, with at least 8 years of experience in Drupal development.Must be a current Acquia Certified Drupal i.e., Acquia Certified Drupal Developer, Acquia Certified Drupal Back End Specialist, or Acquia Certified Drupal Front End Specialist (submit evidence with application)Must be eager and passionate about Drupal community involvement and open source (must be able to provide drupal.org id)Experience with CMS design, build, and integration.Experience with Drupal backend development, module development, content and data migration, and configuration management.Proficient in PHP, Drupal, Drupal Site Building and Administration, Drupal Custom Module Development, Drupal theming, Drupal Community Participation, Symfony, MySQL and other SQL-based databases, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS (SCSS)Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release and operation support. Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology.Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations. Experience building responsive websites.Proficient in integrating and configuring Google AnalyticsExpertise with Unix/LinuxExperience with Symfony and Twig development, REST services, cloud hosting platforms, shell scripting, and JavaScriptFamiliarity with Git and Drupal development technologies such as Drush, Configuration Management, Views, etc.Experience with integrating multiple applications via API and creating accessible software that meets stringent Section 508 requirementsBasic understanding of Decoupled Drupal architectures.Experience contributing to and maintaining open-source projects.Understand efficient deployment workflows.Knowledge of SOLR or another document-based search engine.Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to influence people and successful experiencesHigh level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation, with a track record for delivering to planFlexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely mannerCurious in nature and always looking to question, learn, and look for better ways to do thingsProfessional and courteous demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationMulti-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadline, and take on additional parallel assignments

Preferred Tool Experience:

Experience with Acquia hosting, BLT (build and deployment tools) and Acquia Cloud Site FactoryExperience with Agile and Jira.Experience with automated testing frameworks and Continuous Integration.

Important Note:

Employment is contingent upon candidate passing a background check and ability to obtain a US Public Trust.This is a remote position but hybrid-remote located in Reston, VA is preferred.The candidate must be willing to travel to the District of Columbia/Maryland/Virgina area.
