The Senior Account Executive focuses on selling business solutions, consulting, design, implementation, and managed services. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting opportunities through the full sales cycle. Qualified candidates must have at least 10 years’ experience selling complex IT solutions and IT hardware to Fortune 500 firms. The role requires post sales account management, account relationship building, and new sales expansion with existing customers. It is expected that Senior Account Executives have a proven track record of identifying and closing managed services and dedicated hardware solutions for new customers. Senior Account Executives must be proficient in SalesForce, sales cycle management, lead generation, relationship building, value and strategic solution selling, forecasting, and closing opportunities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeveloping a defined market with new customers;Identifying and knowing every prospect;Developing and driving a successful market development plan;Identifying customer needs, developing value-enhancing solutions, and consulting on alternatives with clients;Mapping all divisions and key decision makers in each account; hunting new logos;Providing weekly sales updates;Achieving assigned sales targets on Monthly/Weekly accomplishments/CRM reports;Proposal writing, financial justifications, closing the sale, follow-up and account maintenance;Leading the immediate sales team in developing new solutions and applications for customers;Internal teamwork with partner groups to achieve complete customer satisfaction;Taking total ownership of account plan and communicating to Meridian management on the strategy needed to be successful in territory;New customer development.Qualifications and Requirements10 or more years of successful sales experience is required around one or more of our Core Competencies: Data Center (networking, storage, distributed systems), Unified Workspace (Unified Communications, Contact Center), Cloud and Security/Risk Management;Bachelor's degree is a plus;Significant communications industry knowledge is preferred;Strong verbal and written communication skills;Practiced and proven presentation experience with demonstrable success;A self-motivated, assertive, and outgoing professional personality.Meridian Group International, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
