PURPOSE

The Account Executive - Truckload builds a district customer base by identifying, developing, and closing new sales opportunities with medium to larger truckload-based customers. This position works closely with its district’s director, outside sales force, outside account managers, and inside truckload growth managers to ensure growth within this product. This position will focus on acquiring new business by prospecting, collaborating with the outside sales teams, and growing existing and non-existing customer bases for its district.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the primary interface for all truckload products and services.Promote and sell the organization's truckload product and services within an assigned district to achieve significant sales targets.Field questions from districts sales team and customers to resolve customer issues/complaints.Promote truckload product within their district by assisting in communication, training and education of districts sales team.Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve and exceed monthly sales goals.Inform district on truckload performance including sales wins, stack rankings and product updates.Identify new truckload opportunities by prospecting, collaborating with outside sales team and growing existing accounts.Responsible for running sales presentations with prospects from a discovery call till implementation.Work collaboratively with FTL Operations and Carrier Sales departments.Bring quality solutions to customer base including technology, reporting and operations.Responsible for retaining new accounts by involvement in solving customer issues and account reviews.Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Understanding of freight and shipping industry terminology, concepts, and practices.Competitive and motivated mindset with a passion for new business development.Effective sales techniques.Proven success in generating/qualifying leads through prospecting new business with a ‘hunter’ mentality.Effective verbal and written communicator with a strong business acumen and intuition.Ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate with others.Microsoft Office Suite skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).Attention to detail to drive profitability.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.2+ years of experience in sales.1+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain.Apply Now
