Widener University's Center for Extended Learning is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach in the Organizational Development & Leadership BS & MA program.Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an "as needed" basis.Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered in online, hybrid, and evening formats.Adjunct faculty are expected to teach to the designated syllabus, provide support and guidance to students, facilitate online or campus-based courses, and respond to student needs in a timely fashion. Responsibilities include developing strategies to teach the course for the entire semester or session, using the course syllabus, objectives, and curriculum; meeting the university's academic standards; organizing and preparing course materials for facilitation; utilizing educational technology to engage students and enhance learning; connecting students' current study to real-world applications; demonstrating consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of assignments; providing timely feedback to students; maintaining students' grade book; and completing final grades by the deadline.Complete applications are to include a cover letter that identifies preferred courses, C.V., and contact information for three professional references. This is a pooled position from which adjunct faculty will be hired as openings occur.Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching to the designated syllabus.Providing support and guidance to students.Facilitating campus-based or online courses and responding to student needs in a timely fashion.Developing strategies to teach the course for the entire semester or session, using the WU syllabus provided, objectives, and curriculum.Meeting the university's academic standards.Organizing and preparing course materials for facilitation.Utilizing experiential learning, action learning, and educational technology to engage students and enhance learning.Connecting students' current study to real-world applications.Demonstrating consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of assignments and providing timely feedback to students.Utilizing rubrics for grading where relevant.Maintaining students' grade book and completing final grades by the deadline.Utilizing the LMS for all course instruction, grading, and student contact.Meeting by phone or in person with the Associate Dean each semester.Minimum Requirements:

Master's Degree in Training and Development, Organization Development, Business, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in related fields, previous teaching experience, and familiarity with online learning, hybrid formats, and experiential learning methods.Experience with Canvas Learning Management System.Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
