You will be joining as the second Account Executive at the company , alongside the Founder and CEO who is actively involved in founder-led sales. You’ll also be surrounded by company GTM advisors who support our growth with strategic and tactical guidance.You’ll be asked to tackle everything from designing and executing outbound campaigns, to running customer demos and discovery sessions, to closing the final contracts. This role is absolutely pivotal for UpdateAI’s growth trajectory. As such you’ll have direct access to company leadership and will have a high amount of responsibility and decision-making authority.Who We are Looking forWe're targeting candidates who not only have foundational sales experience but are also eager to accelerate their career.

Honestly, we are looking for a ‘shark’ - someone who is sharp and incredibly hungry to drive sales relentlessly, and will be completely proactive and take full ownership.

This person needs to be sharp strategically and

highly structured

tactically. They also need to be driven by more than just their On-Target Earnings (OTE). This is a chance to get in at the ground floor of something that is really special.The ideal candidate will naturally excel in sales, but hunger for success and a desire for ownership are non-negotiable. You'll be responsible for hitting a specific sales quota, directly linked to your outbound campaigns and other channel acquisition such as our “ The CCO Club ” events.Skill Development:

Keep sales operations streamlined and transparent, especially concerning CRM management and performance reporting. It’s essential that you are someone who brings structure to everything they do.Responsibilities and ActivitiesOutbound Prospecting:

Utilize tools like LinkedIn, CRM software, and specialized databases (e.g. Apollo, Clay.com, Datagma) to identify potential clients.Cold Outreach:

Conduct email campaigns and cold calls to initiate conversations with key decision-makers.Qualify Leads:

Use criteria like BANT or MEDDICC to determine if a prospect fits the ideal customer profile.Nurture Leads:

Maintain a structured follow-up sequence for leads that aren't ready to make a purchase decision yet.CRM Management:

Keep accurate records of all interactions, lead statuses, and follow-up activities in a CRM system.Creative Experimentation:

Think creatively about what experiments to run for lead generation or engagement and maintain an experiment map to track results.Sales Goals:

You’ll have a quota and will be measured against monthly and quarterly sales goals.Customer Discovery and Demos:

Lead customer calls.Sales Collateral:

Develop sales scripts, presentations, and other tools.Sales Training:

Be open to learning from our mentors through active coaching.Events:

You will earn commission on first year ACV of sales attributable to your efforts.Expansion and Renewal:

UpdateAI has offices in New York City. Our preference is a hybrid in-office / at-home work schedule. However, we are OK to accept remote-only candidates.Candidate Experience RequirementsSales Experience:

1-5 years of direct sales experience in B2B SaaS as an Account Executive. Compensation and role structure will align with your level of experience.Customer Success Acumen:

Understanding of Customer Success is a must, along with direct experience collaborating with Customer Success Managers (CSMs).Generative AI Proficiency:

Comfortable and knowledgeable about Generative AI technologies.Tool Mastery:

You must be self-sufficient in learning and using a Sales toolkit. Our toolkit currently includes Hubspot, Smartlead, LinkedIn, and UpdateAI.
