Overview : The P&C Account Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing client accounts, and ensuring accurate policy information. This position focuses on client communication, policy updates, and fostering positive relationships with clients.

This is a hybrid location reporting to our office in Fairfax, VA.

Primary Job ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with new and renewal clients, delivering policy documents and ensuring they understand how to access their account information online. Provide clients with the internal contact information to assist with servicing their account throughout the year.Assist and consult on coverages, offering recommendations based on clients’ current exposures.Educate clients on additional coverage options through marketing campaigns and personalized interactions throughout the year.Ensure that the Agency Management System is accurate, and all the policy details are updated, such as the policy number, effective dates, and premiums.Act as the first point of contact for clients with customer service inquiries, quickly and accurately responding to phone calls and emails.Provide outstanding customer service for billing inquiries, account questions, and policy changes.Assist clients in processing coverage/policy changes, such as adding locations, vehicles, and states to policies, updating mailing addresses, or increasing coverage limits and issuing certificates or evidence of coverage.Notify clients when they are past due on their premium payment. Assist clients with their billing issues and questions.Initiate and maintain regular communication with clients providing market trends, product offerings, and available insurance coverage options. This includes building positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and help address any concerns from this outreach.Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling insurance products.

RequirementsPossess a comprehensive knowledge of personal and commercial lines insurance products, including coverages, policies, procedures, and underwriting principles.Provide empathetic and supportive assistance to clients and employees by being responsive to client needs and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively.Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients’ unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.Exceptional problem-solving skills, combined with a persistent approach to achieving successful resolutions.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and transparently.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing insights and contributing to collective success.Proficiency in using software systems, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and Microsoft Office Suite.Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.

Required Education and Experience:2 or more years of experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.High School Diploma/GEDVirginia Property and Casualty Insurance License (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).

Preferred:Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
