WPHL-TV is looking for a Sales Manager!We are looking for a dynamic leader with a proven history of motivating a strong sales team and growing revenue on all platforms. This leadership position is responsible for leading new business sales and agency sales for our broadcast and digital platforms. The ideal candidate must be a strategic problem solver, team leader, motivator, strategist, and collaborator. Candidate will have a proven record as a hard-working leader who empowers, motivates, holds their Account Executives accountable, is an innovative problem solver who formulates strategies, is highly proficient in analytics, leads by example and takes direction well.Job Responsibilities

Provides leadership for the broadcast/digital sales teams.Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding revenue targets in local, national, new business and digital revenue.Works with Account Executives and clients developing results driven marketing solutions across all platforms.Attends sales calls with Account Executives to develop new accounts and maximize existing business.Manages recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of the sales team.Leads weekly sales meetings.Works closely with Accounts Receivable and sales team to maintain current and collectible aging.Manages inventory and effective pricing.Collaborates with other departments such as creative, news and finance when needed.Requirements and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience preferred.Minimum seven years of experience in Sales, preferably in both broadcast and Digital.Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.Current knowledge of digital ad technology, online ad serving, 3rd party research skills such as ComScore and Google Analytics.IAB and/or Google AdWords certification a plus.Proficiency in MS Office products required, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with Wide Orbit, Matrix, Strata, ComScore and Nielsen are a plus.Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Occasional travel required; available to work extended hours if needed.
