Senior Technical Architect for Construction Administration

Johnson Fain is looking for a Senior Technical Architect with a strong background of working in multi-disciplinary teams through the design documentation / detailing and construction administration phases of a project. This is a short term position for a fixed duration, up to six months, that starts immediately. The ideal candidate will be an organized leader with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the preparation of architectural contract documents, details and specifications with current working knowledge of applicable codes as well as experience with large-scale, complex, multi-use urban projects.Job Responsibilities:

Review Submittals in context of project scope in a timely manner with no to little oversight.Review Request for Information (RFI) in a timely manner with no to little oversight.Assist and provide input on code research.Assist in generating, finalizing and distributing meeting minutes in a timely manner.Drafting and computer modeling in Revit, Rhino and AutoCAD.Coordination of a full consultant teams.Coordination of 1-2 designer level staff, including identifying tasks and delegating work to team support members.Required Skills:

10 plus years of relevant experience.High degree of autonomy and ability to generate your own work and work for other team members.Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive and effective team environment.Advanced knowledge of current versions of REVIT and AutoCAD.Familiar with online management tools for coordinating with contractors.Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper and other parametric software knowledge is desirable.Bachelor of Architecture is required.Licensed CA Architect is desirable or actively pursuing licensure, enrolled in the IDP process, and actively logging credits and taking exams.Employees must exhibit initiative, engagement and purpose in their project work and in the project.All staff are responsible for all tasks of the project; no job position is above handling any task required for the success of the project and the team.Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.Johnson Fain offers an intellectual and creative work environment with state-of-the-art computer software integration, with 3D print modeling, virtual reality technology, and a spacious open studio.
