Everest Insurance , a Division of Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking a Vice President to lead its Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, CFO of Insurance North America.The Everest insurance segment is a Specialty Diversified insurance company continuing its rapid growth and transformation with infrastructure, product enhancement and human capital investments. The FP&A function is critical to help drive accountability and visibility throughout the organization.Job Summary:

This position will continue to develop a growing FP&A team that supports the Everest Insurance North America business segment. This team is responsible for the planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for the segment and the business divisions within the segment. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the quarterly financial results, working with the financial reporting team to review results at the business division/segment level. This position will need to be able to interact with various levels of management throughout the insurance organization and finance leadership. This position will have an opportunity to build on a firm foundation of processes and make improvements in the delivery of financial information to business leaders, supporting their strategic business decisions.Responsibilities:

Build, manage and develop a growing FP&A team

Provide oversight over the quarterly management P&L reporting at the business segment, division and insurance division level.Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans; leverage KPI reporting to offer constructive challenge.Partner closely with business segment leaders and department cost owners to support resource allocation and decision making. Provide actionable insights to help department owners track and manage performance. Communicate results and drivers as a trusted business partner.Oversee Financial Analysis of Underwriting units and key functional teams

Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of business segment, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improvement. Review quarterly financial results and provide challenge where necessary to ensure financial reporting is accurate at the business segment level.Analyze reported results and identify drivers of variances to plan. Identify and perform focused analytics of key performance drivers. Conduct in-depth financial analysis in support of quarterly executive reports.Develop a transparent process around budgeting and forecasting

Develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with business segment leadership team. Monitor financial performance against targets and provide regular variance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities.Financial Planning and Strategy: Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategic initiatives. Provide financial insights to support decision-making.Strategic business partner

Establish and track key performance metrics to assess the financial trends and operational efficiency of business segment. Prepare management reports and presentations to communicate results and recommendations.Identify financial risks and opportunities. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and optimize financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with overall strategies.Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, and operations. Provide financial insights and support in discussions, meetings, and strategic planning sessions.Continuously evaluate and enhance our financial processes and reporting to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.Proven experience (15+ years) in Financial Reporting of FP&A or similar role within the P&C insurance industry, with at least 5-7 years in a management role.Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products, underwriting, claims processes, and industry-specific financial metrics.Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and performance measurement.Advanced skills in financial modeling, scenario testing, and data analysis (e.g. Excel or other financial planning tools)Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to provide actionable recommendations based on financial analysis.Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.Promote a culture of personal responsibility, accountability and open communications.Maintain a sense of urgency and wind sprint to identify and resolve issues. Action oriented and strong work ethic.Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting rules.Experience with business intelligence tools, ERP systems (Anaplan, IBM Planning Analytics, and Oracle a plus).Our Culture
