As a Senior Software Engineer working in the Bose Software Organization with a focus on Automotive Systems, you will be part of the team developing tools that enable Bose tuning engineers to deliver incredible, immersive in-cabin audio experiences. The work focuses on advancing our real-time audio prototyping platform architecture used for tuning automotive systems. You will be responsible for:Lead multidisciplinary efforts to help translate ideas from applied research through to production tuning environmentsDesign and Develop infrastructure and applications to support prototyping and tuning on linux based PCs (Ubuntu image)Collect, Develop, and Maintain infrastructure to help validate our systemsDocument and train other developers and tuning engineers on new features and releasesHelp champion technical and feature roadmaps with buy-in from applied research, advanced development, and production teamsContribute to a thriving, collaborative, team-oriented environmentAbout You
BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering8+ years of software development experienceDeep experience with Linux based systems for application development, administration, and deploymentFamiliarity with multi-threaded, real-time audio processingComfort with multiple programming languages - Python, C/C++, etc.Familiarity with networking (sockets, TCP/IP, etc.)Excellent problem-solving skills and software/hardware debugging ability.Systems level integration and testingEmbedded software developmentFamiliarity with audio interfaces such as ADAT, A2B, MADI, Audio over EthernetAutomotive industry experienceMATLAB / SimulinkFPGA development
