Hospitality / Property Management / Human Resources / TrainingSummaryThe Human Resources is an essential piece of the Hotel EMC2 team and supports the Human Resource function by providing a welcoming environment for all associates.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the VP of Human Resources, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Supports the Hotel and Human Resources department with duties and functions; including recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training, termination process and retention of associates.Becomes confident in company personnel policies and leads by example, while being able to explain and support managers in execution and consistency of policies.Reviews and administers employment status changes through paperwork and HRIS system - pay rates, position status and changes, new hires, terminations etc., in ADP Workforce.Supports the interview process, conducts interviews with candidates, and coaches managers on the interview guidelines.Manages and maintains the Workers Comp process.Complies with federal and state regulations concerning I-9 forms, employment records and document retention.Organizes trainings online and in-person; including but not limited to Marriott trainings, Human Trafficking, Fire Safety & Security, etc.Organizes Employee Recognition activities, functions, and recognition program; supports departments with facilitating their own functions.Works with HR Coordinator in administration of the Team Member of the Month, Leader of the Quarter, birthday and anniversary program.Becomes expert in company's benefit offerings through HRIS system and is able to confidently explain and guide associates in their inquiries about the program.Consistently promotes and fosters a positive work environment.Coaches and counsels staff and managers as required.Deals with employee relations and investigations.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:At least two years' experience working in an HR, hospitality environment.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Have a strong passion for excellence, hospitality, and guest service.The ability to interact with all levels and departments within the hotel.Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.Professional appearance and attitude.Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.Able to work alone without direct supervision.Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all required tasks.About the CompanyA uniquely different hospitality company, SMASHotels relentlessly pursues the finest talent, trends, and ambiances to create extraordinary experiences.
