We are a 716-bed independent academic medical center. We are the community's major referral hospital, providing a wide range of services.

SCHEDULE:

32 hours per week

Night shift

Rotating weekends & holidays

LOCATION:

Baystate Medical Center

Springfield, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

MA RT license and ARRT Registry

Associate of Arts, Certificate: Radiologic Technology (Required)

Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologist

Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrates excellent customer service through positive patient experience; promotes positive inter/intradepartmental communications and relationships; maintains confidentiality.

Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the use of required imaging equipment.

Demonstrates proficiencies with CR, DR, PACs, and applicable modality specific equipment.

Properly identifies patient information using two patient identifiers.

Maintains operational communication with Supervisor/Manager.

Works as a member of the health care team including physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals.

Operates and maintains exam room and equipment.

Recognizes examination findings that may require immediate clinical response.

Assures ongoing compliance with JC, MQSA, and ACR regulatory requirements.

Performs accurate and high-quality exams.

Maintains standards of skills.

Presents self to all patients and other customers in a professional manner.

Attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events.

Reports suggestions for positive changes within departmental policies/procedures.

Accurately inputs data into appropriate applications and systems.

Assists in the training of technologists, residents, and students.

Observes strict safety standards.

Utilizes time effectively by coordinating patients and procedures.

Assists the radiologist in sterile procedures.

Maintains radiation safety procedures and protocols.

Must be able to work independently in all areas.
