Job Overview:

The VP, Cloud Operations will be reporting to the SVP of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Operations. This position will lead and oversee our Compute/Cloud Managed Services Provider. In this role, you will be responsible for all operational cloud and on-prem compute, infrastructure, storage/backup, database, ETL processing, and network support. You will be a visible leader and expected to communicate and collaborate effectively with other IT and business stakeholders internally and externally. To succeed in this role, we seek someone with in-depth experience overseeing a Managed Service Provider, building and leading teams, a strong customer-centric mindset, high technical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience in IT and cloud-related roles. Additionally, you must have strong expertise in cloud computing architectures, technologies, and processes and experience with public cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.

Primary Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for overseeing 24x7x365 hybrid cloud operations ensuring high availability.Design Cloud operations service delivery approach and recommend tools.You will also be involved in developing and executing our cloud strategy and driving innovation and efficiency.Support in the execution of datacenter and cloud projects, ensuring alignment with operations support objectives and best practices.Participate as an active member in all cross-functional Cloud Architecture and Engineering team events.Monitor and optimize the performance and availability of on-prem and cloud infrastructure.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when necessary.Manage and optimize the cost and utilization of our datacenter and cloud resources, using tools such as Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth, and other tools.Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve datacenter and cloud capabilities and efficiency.Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of our datacenter and cloud services.Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, implementing appropriate controls and safeguards.Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for our datacenter and cloud operations.Deep understanding of SRE principles and practices and ability to innovate and adapt the service to meet and advance company cloud strategy.Create a healthy, diverse, and inclusive team culture consistent with our values.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing datacenter and cloud management.3+ years of managing and building a cloud support organization.Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud services, network/routing, shared storage concepts, and security best practices.Solid grasp of cloud architectures, standards, and security best practices.Understanding of ITIL service management, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Asset, Configuration, and performance metrics.

Preferences:

Experience with financial planning for projects and managing a budget.Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.Experience working with remote (US) and offshore teams.Strategic thinking/problem-solving skills & excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Range:

$134,280-$201,420/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
