2024-215525JOB OVERVIEWThe Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the nursing clinical leader for the community and is responsible for leading and managing the health and wellness along with coordination of care and services to residents. Responsible for oversight and implementation of all care programs, regulatory compliance, recruiting, and performance management.RESPONSIBILITIES:Managing Health and Wellness:
Provides strategic leadership for resident care, manages nursing team, performs and documents resident assessments, collaborates with clinical providers, and evaluates resident outcomes.Medication Management:
Oversees medication management program, provides clinical training, and ensures resident safety in medication use.Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
Tracks clinical quality data, leads improvement initiatives, recruits and trains clinical team members, and manages department budget.Training, Leadership, and Team Member Development:
Partners in training programs, on-boards new leaders, ensures compliance with regulations, and keeps abreast of professional developments.QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).Minimum two (2) years RN experience with at least one (1) year in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience.Certified in CPR and First Aid.Knowledge of infection control practices and nursing techniques.Ability to delegate assignments appropriately.Experience in quality improvement and clinical education preferred.ABOUT SUNRISE:Sunrise Senior Living has championed quality of life in senior care for more than 30 years.
