This is a full-time, salary-exempt position located in Leesburg, Virginia. Ulu HI-Tech is seeking a SOC Analyst (Tier 2) to join a growing team in support of Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a network security environment, such as a Security Operations Center (SOC), and have an understanding of typical cybersecurity deliverables. This role requires analytical thinking, effective verbal and written communication skills, decision making skills, detail oriented, data interpretation, and adaptability.Responsibilities

Initial response when a cyber incident is identifiedRemediation of incidents and escalation when necessary to Tier 3 supportInitial assessment of the scope of the attack and affected systemsData collection for further analysisDedicated monitoring and analysis of cyber security events by use of SOC toolsEvent of Interest (EOI) handling and escalation as appropriateIncident Response generation and reporting IAW established proceduresProcessing of incident communications to include initial reporting, follow-ups, requests for information and resolution activityDesired Experience/Certifications

Security+ CertificationMinimum five (5) years of experienceBS degree or additional work experience substitutionBasic knowledge of cybersecurity best practicesWilling to work a DAY SHIFT B — 7 AM to 7 PM, alternating Wednesdays and Thursday to SaturdayEducation

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer EngineeringPhysical Requirements
