We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of
Automation Project Manager
within our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, based in the
Seminole, TX
office.Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of automation construction and commissioning on New Development projects as well as Maintenance projects.Responsible for completing projects as per schedule.Determine project timelines, schedule resources, and review implementation of engineering design according to documentation.Summarize status reports on projects to leadership.Manage multiple projects concurrently.Participate in TOTS and M&C project meetings.Ensure engineering documentation is available for commissioning.Facilitate alignment and allocation of manpower resources on projects.Communicate construction and commissioning issues with engineering and provide red-lined documents where applicable.Collaborate with project managers on facilities and M&C projects (i.e. Mechanical and Electrical scopes of work).Act as local Asset representative for Automation Team to Production Ops Business Unit.Create an environment where team members can make day-to-day decisions with the necessary tools and support.Ensure a conducive working environment to meet Business Unit’s production and safety targets.Remove roadblocks and foster process improvements with engineering.Ensure compliance with Oxy standards and best practices.Identify design challenges and offer improvement suggestions to engineering.Enhance inefficiencies of processes and control equipment.Participate in continuous improvement teams.Engage with internal and external resources effectively.Participate in technical reviews of assets and/or new business ventures.Participate in annual and long-term business planning.Contribute to staffing plans to ensure adequate staffing levels to support business plans.Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding employees.Promote the development of team members' professional and technical skills.Develop and/or manage programs for maintaining a safe and productive work environment.Qualifications:Education:
4-year technical degree or equivalent working experience.Professional/Technical Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of oil and gas automation systems.Experience:4+ years of Oil Field experience.2+ years of Managerial experience preferred.2+ years of Project Management experience preferred.In-depth experience with managing New Development oil and gas facilities/projects.In-depth experience with managing Maintenance and Construction projects.Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and recommend solutions for complex problems.Understanding of Surface Production Equipment and process system controls.General knowledge of Surface Team, Reservoir Team, Downhole Team, Risk/AI team, IT, and HSE.Visionary for process improvement and development of new technologies.Relocation:
