i4DM is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Developer with expertise in Node.js and JavaScript to join our fast-growing IT-project based consulting business supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Application Developer will play a critical role in implementing, problem-solving, maintaining, and supporting agile software development projects aimed at modernizing systems. This role requires consulting skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of industry knowledge.

The successful candidate will develop innovative solutions to complex problems and create these solutions through iterative approaches such as proof of concept (PoC), minimal viable product (MVP), and scaling to a fully operational product. This developer will support the VA to increase user satisfaction, decrease processing costs, streamline the reimbursement process, and reduce any unnecessary delays to settled claims. Our developer will utilize their passion and expertise to enhance the Veterans’ experience and support the VA’s commitment to digital transformation.Responsibilities

You will work and collaborate on a team of project managers, business analysts, developers/engineers, and QA staff within an Agile DevSecOps environment. As a crucial member of our team, you will also be expected to interface with client representatives. Our team member will:

Perform agile software development to modernize systems, concentrating on both back-end and front-end languages to build complete solutions.Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.Create innovative solutions through iterative approaches like PoC, MVP, and scaling to a fully operational product.Acquire client requirements and address workflow problems through automation optimization.Develop RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and associated libraries, classes, and data sources.Utilize Node.js, JavaScript, Git, SQL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Back-End Development, Integration, API Development, AWS Services, and development tools in daily tasks.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience in designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods.3+ years of experience in software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks.Expertise with Node.js and JavaScript.Experience in writing source code for new applications or enhancing code samples for existing applications.Proficiency in using both back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions (e.g. Python).Experience in acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.Proficiency in developing enterprise applications with Cloud technologies such as AWS and working with databases like Microsoft SQL Server.Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination as required by the client.Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of related experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and associated services.Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.Familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching technologies.Ability to work with automated testing tools for testing and maintenance.Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.Experience supporting Veterans Affairs programs or Healthcare IT programs.Active Public Trust.Benefits
