Addressing the needs of the Chicago Jewish community through access to mental health, wellness, and inclusion services.CFP is also committed to ensuring pathways for underrepresented groups in Israel to access the high-tech sector.Position DescriptionThe Program Officer will report to the Director of Jewish and Israel Giving and be part of a 6-person team. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of progressive experience in a foundation or non-profit organization, preferably in the Jewish communal sector.They will have expertise and a passion for building a pluralistic Jewish community and a successful Israel. Experience in antisemitism initiatives is a plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, grantmaking operations management skills, and the ability to provide thought leadership in the Jewish ecosystem.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlanning and strategy

:Work with the Jewish and Israel Giving Team to develop strategy and goals, guide the direction of the portfolio, and coordinate learning opportunities.Identify and source impactful grants to enhance committee priorities.Maintain an understanding of shifting issues in the field to inform trustees and facilitate decision-making.Build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, working closely with grantees and funders.Grantmaking

:Manage grants and develop issue-area expertise.Lead analyses on grantee organizations and grant outcomes.Develop frameworks to evaluate the impact of grants.Plan and conduct site visits to candidate organizations and grantees.Leadership role

:Serve as key staff contact for the Jewish and Israel Giving Committee.Support and mentor junior staff.Identify areas for cross collaboration with other issue areas.CFP Team Activities

:Engage in initiatives that foster team collaboration.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in a foundation or non-profit.Practical expertise and passion for building a pluralistic Jewish community.Ability to conceive and execute strategy.Knowledge of issues related to the Chicago and National Jewish community.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Meticulous attention to detail.Don’t meet every single requirement?
