Care for the needs of the Jewish community.CFP is also committed to a successful Israel, focusing on ensuring pathways for underrepresented groups in the high-tech sector.Position DescriptionThe Program Officer will report to the Director of Jewish and Israel Giving and be part of a 6-person team. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of progressive experience in a foundation or non-profit organization, preferably in the Jewish communal sector.They will have practical expertise and a passion for building a pluralistic Jewish community. Experience in antisemitism initiatives is a plus. Successful candidates will demonstrate intellectual curiosity and the technical abilities to manage grantmaking operations.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlanning and strategy

:Work with the Jewish and Israel Giving Team to develop strategy and goals.Identify and source impactful grants.Maintain an understanding of shifting issues in the field.Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.Grantmaking

:Manage grants and develop issue-area expertise.Lead analyses on grantee organizations.Develop frameworks to evaluate the impact of grants.Analyze nonprofit organizations’ financial statements.Leadership role

:Serve as key staff contact for the Jewish and Israel Giving Committee.Support and mentor junior staff.QualificationsBachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in a foundation or non-profit.Ability to conceive and execute strategy.Significant knowledge of issues related to the Jewish community.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Growth mindset with an eagerness to receive feedback.
