A bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child development, or a related field, and management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool is required. A candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children.This preschool is a renowned Early Childhood Education program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and an active learning approach. A leader in the franchised preschool industry, the preschool uses a professional approach to provide the highest standard in health and safety, to develop a life-long love of learning. The preschool faculty is made of caring and dedicated teachers who understand each child’s needs. The faculty members are highly qualified childhood educators who use their creativity and the state-specific learning outcomes as the basis for unique lesson plans brought to life in a fun and imaginative way. The ideal preschool Director has strong leadership skills, is an excellent communicator, and can motivate and inspire others.Director Responsibilities
Our Education Director will be working in conjunction with our Operations Director. Some of the primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Overseeing preschool operations including human resources, health & safety, programming and facility operationsDeveloping strong relationships with our staff and familiesManaging a budgetComplying with state child care licensing regulationsProjecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsHaving a genuine love for children, staff and a strong commitment to educationResponsible for Staff Relationship management – appreciation, regular review meetings, trainings, payroll management, staff scheduling, managing conflicts, coaching and mentoringSetting the positive mood in the school – leading efforts for celebrations, special occasions, festive themes, multi-cultural activities, community engagement, school wide decorationsStaff and Families engagement through email newsletters, social media marketing, website updates, hosting events in-person and virtual and conducting informational trainingsReview and assist lesson planning, accountable for timely implementation and communication to familiesAbility to work on achieving accreditationsAbility to understand special needs requirementsLiaison between the school and the franchisor resourcesReporting, Documentation and Follow upResponsible for Staff Professional DevelopmentInventory ManagementThe Goddard School Offers:
