Director Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Administration:Support franchisee efforts in community outreach, create and maintain a professional LinkedIn page, and develop customer relations.
Welcome visitors, assist with tours, and lead family orientations, ensuring all required paperwork is collected and reviewed.
Oversee the school’s communication systems, including daily reports, newsletters, and event reminders.
Maintain all school schedules, including weekly faculty schedules, whole school calendars, internal schedules (e.g., laundry, garden maintenance), and event schedules (e.g., graduation, parent and teacher gatherings).
Staff Management:Manage employee records, including on-boarding, time-cards, benefits, and performance reviews.
Lead faculty recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, and oversee the on-boarding and training of new teachers.
Plan and implement ongoing professional development programs, including bi-annual in-service meetings and monthly faculty meetings.
Implement and manage employee benefit programs, including gratitude checklists, points systems, and gas reimbursements.
Curriculum and Program Development:Ensure that the educational programs meet the needs of all children
Refine processes for student transitions and classroom checklists
Support teachers in creating engaging and effective lesson plans
Family and Community Engagement:Strengthen relationships with local schools, libraries, and businesses, and build connections with other Goddard directors.
Address parent concerns and provide regular communication regarding their child’s progress
Promote the school within the community and participate in outreach activities
Financial Management:Manage the School's budget
Ensure efficient allocation of resources
Assist with enrollment
Health and Safety:Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors
Conduct regular safety drills and maintain emergency preparedness
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility
Ensure the school is properly opened and closed daily, including door security, classroom readiness, and safety checks.
Qualifications:Must be
DCFS Director Qualified
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
5-7 Years of Director Experience at a for-profit Center
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education best practices
An inspirational leader and team builder
Organized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitude
Demonstrate highly effective organizational and time management skills
Have a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education
