We provide advisory services, strategies, and solutions to meet clients’ evolving needs amid dynamic market conditions and varying industries.As a business analyst and a member of our IT Product Management team, you will be responsible for developing digital technology solutions to meet the current and growing demands of WB PWM business stakeholders and clients. You will be responsible for understanding, analyzing, and documenting detailed functional requirements and engaging closely with product owners, business stakeholders, scrum masters, application developers, vendors, data engineers and the central technology team throughout the agile project lifecycle, to ensure that the delivered technology solutions meet the business requirements.Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To:Self-starter, individual contributor with a passion for building technology solutions to solve complex business problemsPerform detailed analysis and create functional requirements specification document(s) to support business and project objectives. Deliverables include detailed user stories, project issue and dependency logs, and other artifacts as requiredConduct stakeholder interviews to understand current state business processes, synthesize them to create process flow diagrams and other visual aids to facilitate solution design sessionsWork closely with the product owner to establish project objectives, goals, milestones, timelines and other project related activitiesAbility to apply functional knowledge to perform quality assurance testing and deliver high quality technology solutions. This includes test scenario identification, test case creation, test case implementation, defect logging and closure etc.Comfortable performing analysis on large sets of data and deriving insights and inferences to inform business requirementsSuperior communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with business and technology stakeholders across PWMAbility to effectively collaborate with cross product teams to design integrated solutions for complex business problemsDevelop an understanding of PWM’s business functions, future strategic goals, and business challengesFamiliarity with wealth management technology trends and best practicesAbility to work collaboratively in teams and develop trusted relationships to achieve PWM objectives and goalsAbility to manage day-to-day project activities including, project-level reporting; proactive identification of risks, dependencies and escalations as neededDrive closure of project issues, risks and open items in a prompt mannerQualifications:4-5 years of experience as a business analyst of technology projects. Financial Services industry experience and wealth management industry experience preferred.Experience with Powerpoint, Excel, Visio and other Microsoft Office tools.Familiarity with any of the following platforms (or similar) valued: Tamarac, Fidelity, Salesforce, PowerBI, InvestCloud, IFS, AdvisorStream.Bachelor’s degree valued or relevant experience as noted aboveKnowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologiesExperience with requirements gathering and working with project team, vendors, business stakeholders and engineering to develop system design and solutionsExperience in working and delivering end-to-end technology projects, including project management related activitiesSuperior written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively on both a technical and business levelSelf-starter, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasksOrganized – ability to multi-taskExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsWorks cooperatively with others to accomplish objectivesDemonstrates initiative and persistence – is self-motivatedWilliam Blair is an equal opportunity employer.
