has an immediate opening in our Baltimore office for an attorney with at least 3+ years' experience in Labor and Employment Law representing management. Qualified candidates must be barred in MD. We are looking for candidates that have substantial experience representing employers in a wide range of employment matters.We offer a flexible work environment with options for hybrid work.

Semmes is a paperless office with personal laptops provided for attorneys.Benefits:Free Fitness Center.Bike Storage.Convenient to Light Rail and close to the MARC Train.Competitive salary, Health, Vision, Dental, LTD, STD, Life benefits.Employee funded 401K.HSA and FSA plans.Annual performance reviews.Associate eligible bonus plan.Responsibilities:Provide expert legal advice to employers on employment laws, regulations, and compliance issues.Handle employment related litigation, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, compliance issues, management labor issues, affirmative action obligations, draft affirmative action plans, wage and hour matters, OSHA/MOSH actions, Title VII matters, and related federal, state, and local employment matters.Represent client employment interests in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration proceedings.Advise clients on labor relations matters, including occasional union negotiations and labor disputes.Have working knowledge of NLRB rules and regulations.The ideal candidate's focus will be Labor and Employment.Requirements:Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar.Litigation experience is a must.Experience practicing labor and employment law with a focus on employer representation.Experience handling employment related litigation and providing legal counsel to employers.Candidates should possess strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills and have the ability to work independently.The position requires the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and handle a high volume of cases.The desired candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.EEO/AA employer – Minority/Female/Vets/Disabled/LGBTQ+
