The Employee Relations Coordinator is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee/labor relations and staffing functions. They are the first line of contact for employees and managers to provide counsel, coaching, and support on HR fundamentals and employee-related issues. This role works closely with senior HR management in supporting the organizational goals and objectives.Salary Range:

$65,000 - $75,000 (Starting salary is determined by education and years of relevant experience.)Qualifications:

The successful applicant for this position will have:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.A minimum of 3-5 years of human resource management experience, preferably in employee relations.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.Preferred Skills:“Team player” attitude desired with customer focus.Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to improve processes and procedures.Experience in several of the functional program areas of Human Resources (e.g., payroll and HRIS), high volume (280+ staff members), and fast-paced environments is highly desired.Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and resolving work-related problems.Investigate and resolve complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.Analyze and provide advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems.Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.Provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to departmental leaders and employees.Conduct investigations regarding discrimination and unfair employment practices, including, but not limited to, those involving federal and state agency charges.Recommend strategies to build a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.Participate in the development and implementation of policy and procedures related to personnel matters.Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.Promote a culture of fairness, equity, and inclusion.Other duties as assigned.Faculty and Staff Development/Benefits:
