Job Description:
This role focuses on handling employee relations investigations and providing key HR support to maintain a fair and compliant work environment. In addition to managing various HR tasks, the Employee Relations Specialist will help ensure that timekeeping, policies, and employee documentation are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead employee relations investigations and draft thorough reports on findings.
Collaborate with HR leadership and legal teams to resolve employee complaints.
Oversee timekeeping processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll for hourly employees.
Maintain HR-related documentation, ensuring data integrity and assisting in audits.
Support HR compliance tasks, including policy updates, EEO reporting, and maintaining employee handbooks.
Build strong, trust-based relationships across the organization and assist with HR functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
At least 5 years of HR experience with a focus on employee investigations.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Strong analytical and multitasking skills with a focus on prioritization.
PHR certification and experience in a nonprofit or union environment are a plus.
