Job Description:
Position Summary:
This role is responsible to develop & maintain action-based reporting tools in support of various merchandising activities. Communicate findings to cross-functional business partners to support fact-based decision making that positively impacts company financials. This role is focused on supporting the Vendor Management Office with projects including Enhanced Category Planning (ECP) and Category Review (Assortment Optimization) projects.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Communicate effectively to achieve buy-in from cross-functional leaders.
Facilitate cross-functional meetings in support of strategic initiatives.
Support annual vendor negotiation process including joint business planning, strategic planning with merchandising teams and coordination with vendors to improve sales and profitability.
Support data and analytics fact base in partnership with merchandising analytics function and drive into core ways of working for merchandising and associated support teams.
Perform business or statistical analysis to formulate data-driven recommendations that help the company achieve financial goals.
Ability to navigate ambiguity in dynamic retail and wholesale environments to drive positive business outcomes.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related area.
Minimum of three years combined experience in merchandising, data analytics, project management or related area.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, prioritization and attention to detail skills.
Strong mathematical aptitude, financial acumen, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Nielsen Category Management tools, experience with purchasing systems is a plus.
SQL competency recommended: you will interact with the corporate data lake using Snowflake.
Ability to travel 10% depending on assigned categories.
