Job Description:
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting our National Account Sales team with their sales and profitability within the Perishable category for one of SpartanNash’s largest National Accounts. It will include process ownership as well as analytical/critical thinking in order to provide insights and recommendations to improve and support the business.
Here’s what you’ll do:
This role will be dedicated to the Perishable business of one of our National Accounts.
Execute the tasks and responsibilities associated with assortment and inventory management including but not limited to new item setup and item discontinuations.
Communicate frequently with our vendor community and customer to satisfy the needs of the business & customer.
Execute cost changes from the vendor community and customer as needed.
Analyze and organize sales and fill rate data in reports that can be shared internally and externally.
Work cross functionally with the areas of Inventory Control, Procurement, Demand Planning and Supply Chain.
Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives; provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
Additional responsibilities & tasks may be assigned as needed to support the needs of the customer.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
2+ years in field or related analytical role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong Interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
An openness to learn new things
Ability to balance multiple priorities at once
Ability to perform statistical analysis and reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
