Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member's tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. is seeking full-time, tenure-track faculty members to join our growing research team. Positions can be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.We invite candidates whose research employs molecular, cellular, neurobiological, genetic, and/or genomic approaches to studying neurodegenerative diseases, including but not limited to Aging, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias / Parkinson's disease, with an emphasis on potential translational applications. Ideal applicants will integrate cutting-edge approaches and techniques using human cells and/or animal experimental models, high-throughput screening for biomarker discovery and functional genomics, or big data and machine learning methods.The Division of Neurogenetics is implementing a comprehensive program that integrates clinical neuropathological data, deep molecular characterization of human tissue, experimental models, and cutting-edge bioinformatics and machine learning approaches. We embrace a multipronged strategy to expedite the discovery of effective therapeutic interventions. Faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects and publications, as well as pursue their own investigator-initiated research. We welcome candidates from all neurologic subspecialties and general neurology.
